I am sure most of us have heard of article marketing and there are so many contradictory defination to it and it makes new webmaster confused.

Article marketing is where you write an article based on your website niche and submit it to various article directory sites. Try to avoid writing in a promotional tone, always prefer to to write the article keeping in mind that your article should be of informative value to the readers. While writing an artilce use keyword and phrases, just like you optimize your webpage. Make sure your do not overstuff the article with your keyword/keywords.Place 2 links in your author-bio section. I would recomment that you have 1 link to your main domain and another deeplink that would be relevant to your article topic.

Everyday I come to see several opinions on article marketing and distribution. Lets move on to some of the greatest myths and facts about article marketing.

MYTH-1: Article marketing is been devalued and does not help that much.

FACT-1: Article Marketing helps you increase your baclink and SERP position

MYTH-2: Article marketing is indexed by searche Engines as supplement pages, therefore not worth the time and money.

FACT-2: Depending on the quality of article and also where it gets submitted to, the article itself can get a top ranking major search engines and not as a supplemental page.

MYTH-3: Artcile submission to hundred of sites will cause duplicate content ans search engines like Google will penalize my site.

FACT-3: If that was true then all rss feeds that creates a post in a webblog would have been penalized by now. The “USAToday”  articles and “Gaurdian Unlimited” is synidicated all over the web and are not penalised or discounted.

MYTH-4: Post the article in your website first and only after that re-distribute it to the article sites.

FACT-4: When you add a article to your own site, it is more or less called as adding fresh content to your site.Submitting article to the artice sites is called article marketing. YOu don’t want your article to be first indexed on your own site.

MYTH-5: Submit your article only to High PR sites

FACT-5: When you submit your article and on approval, a new page/url is created that contains your article which has NO Pagerank at all.

MYTH-6: Submitting your article to hundreds of site in a day may result in ban by search engine for unnatural link building.

FACT-6: When your submit your article to hundreds of sites in a day, it does not mean they get approved the same day. It make take a few days to a week or so to get your article approved. Furthermore it will take few more days to get it crawled and indexed by search engines.

Article marketing is a great way to promote a product, service, website or blog.
